Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of Yiqi Fumai Injection combined with Norepinephrine in the treatment of patients with pyemia and its effect on the cardiac function, inflammatory indicators and prognosis. Methods A total of 100 patients with pyemia who were admitted to Yunfu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University from January 2019 to June 2021 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into the observation group (n=50) and the control group (n=50) by the random number table method. The control group was treated with Norepinephrine, and the observation group was treated with Yiqi Fumai Injection combined with Norepinephrine. The cardiac troponin I (cTnI), N-terminal brain natriuretic peptide precursor (NT-proBNP), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), stroke volume (SV), C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin 6 (IL-6), interleukin 8 (IL-8), procalcitonin (PCT), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), acute physiology and chronic health evaluation scoring system (APACHEⅡ) and sepsis-related organ failure assessment (SOFA) in the two groups were recorded and observed before and after 7 days of treatment. Results A total of 48 patients in the observation group and 45 in the control group completed the study. There were no significant differences in the levels of cTnI,NT-proBNP, LVEF, SV, CRP, IL-6, IL-8, PCT, APACHEⅡand SOFA between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). After 7 days of treatment, the levels of cTnI, CRP, IL-6, IL-8, PCT, APACHEⅡand SOFA in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, while the levels of LVEF and SV were higher than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The levels of cTnI, NT-proBNP, CRP, IL-6, IL-8, PCT, APACHEⅡand SOFA in the observation group after 7 days of treatment were lower than those in the control group, while the levels of LVEF and SV in the observation group after 7 days of treatment were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The administration of Yiqi Fumai Injection combined with Norepinephrine in patients with pyemia can stabilize cardiac function, reduce the level of inflammatory indicators in vivo, improve the condition and improve the prognosis
