| Application of feedback method in medication education for children with nephrotic syndrome |

Abstract Objective To explore the application of feedback method in medication education for children with nephrotic syndrome. Methods A total of 76 children with nephrotic syndrome admitted to the Department of Pediatrics of Ganzhou People′s Hospital from January 2020 to January 2021 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into control group and experimental group according to the random number table method, with 38 cases in each group. The control group carried out medication education by means of routine guidance, and the experimental group applied feedback method for medication education on this basis, two groups of children′s caregivers′ knowledge of medication, children′s medication compliance, time of urine protein positive to negative, hormone dosage were compared and analyzed. Results After intervention, the medication compliance scores of children in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The caregiver′s knowledge of nephrotic syndrome medication in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The time of urine protein positive to negative of the experimental group was shorter than that of the control group, and the amount of hormones was less than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The caregiver′s knowledge of nephrotic syndrome medication in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The infection rate in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group at 6 months after discharge, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The feedback method has significant application value in the medication education of children with nephrotic syndrome. It can improve the compliance of children with medication,shorten the urine (+) protein time to become negative, reduce the dosage of hormones, and reduce the infection rate.
