Abstract Objective To study the changes in serum lipase, serum amyloid A, and transferrin levels in patients with acute pancreatitis and their correlation with the severity of the disease. Methods A total of 80 patients with acute pancreatitis admitted to Dongguan Songshan Lake Central Hospital from January 2020 to February 2021 were selected as the observation group. According to the severity of acute pancreatitis, the observation group was divided into mild acute pancreatitis (MAP) group (47cases) and severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) group (33 cases), a total of 92 healthy people with physical examination during the same period were selected as the control group. The serum lipase, serum amyloid A, and transferrin levels of the three groups were compared, and the correlation between the serum lipase, serum amyloid A, and transferrin levels with the severity of the disease were analyzed. Results Serum lipase and serum amyloid A in SAP group were higher than those in MAP group and control group, and transferrin was lower than that in the MAP group and control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Serum lipase and amyloid A starch in MAP group were higher than those of the control group, and transferrin was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Serum lipase and serum amyloid A in patients with acute pancreatitis were positively correlated with the severity of the disease, and the level of transferrin was negatively correlated with the severity of the disease (P<0.05). Conclusion The levels of serum lipase, serum amyloid A and transferrin are higher in patients with SAP. The changes in serum lipase, serum amyloid A and transferrin levels are related to the severity of the disease and play a role in the diagnosis of acute pancreatitis It plays an important role and has high reference value for clinical practice.
