Abstract Objective To analyze the application effect of predictive nursing procedure in elderly patients with dementia (AD) treated by Nimodipine combined with Donepezil Hydrochloride. Methods A total of 80 patients with AD treated in our hospital from January 2018 to January 2019 were selected as study subjects. They were divided into control group (n=40) and study group (n=40) according to the even-odd method. Both groups were treated with Nimodipine combined with Donepezil Hydrochloride.During the treatment period, patients in the control group received routine nursing intervention, while in the study group, they received predictive nursing procedure intervention. The improvement of quality of life, occurrence of complications, and patient′s satisfaction on nursing work were compared in the two groups. Results The four quality of life scores in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The total satisfaction of nursing in the study group was higher than that in the control group, with statistical difference (P<0.05).Conclusion The application of predictive nursing procedure in the nursing of elderly patients with AD has significant effect. It can effectively reduce the incidence of complications, and improve the quality of life and patient′s satisfaction on nursing. Therefore, it is worthy of clinical research and promotion.
