Abstract Objective To explore the application of motivational nursing in patients with thyroid adenoma surgery.Methods Seventy-two patients with thyroid adenoma who were treated in our hospital from April 2017 to April 2019 were selected as the research objects.They were divided into the control group (n=36) and the observation group (n=36)according to random number table method.The routine nursing intervention method was adopted the control group, and the observation group adopted the motivational nursing intervention method.The psychological stress indexes and physiological stress indexes of the two groups were compared.Results The self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self rating depression scale (SDS) scores of theobservation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and heart rate of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Motivational nursing care for patients with thyroid adenoma surgery can effectively relieve patients′ anxiety and depression, stabilize systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and heart rate, improve psychological and physiological stress response, promote postoperative rehabilitation, and have significant nursing effect.]
