| Clinical effect of acupuncture combined with Yinao Zengzhi Decoction in the treatment of vascular dementia after cerebral infarction |

Abstract Objective To investigate the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with Yinao Zengzhi Decoction in the treatment of vascular dementia after cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 70 patients with vascular dementia after cerebral infarction admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to January 2019 were enrolled in the study. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the observation group and in the conventional group, 35 patients in each group. Patients in the conventional group were treated with conventional therapy, and the observation group was treated with acupuncture combined with Yinao Zengzhi Decoction. Hemodynamic parameters, mental improvement status scores, and daily living ability scores were compared between the two groups. Results The 120 s whole blood viscosity, hematocrit and plasma viscosity of the observation group were lower than those of the conventional group, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). The scores of intelligence improvement and daily life ability of the observation group were higher than those of the conventional group, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture combined with Yinao Zengzhi Decoction can effectively improve the hemodynamic parameters of patients with vascular dementia after cerebral infarction, meanwhile, it can also effectively improve the intelligence improvement status score and the daily life ability score of patients, which is worth promoting.
