Effect observation of wax therapy combined with Mecobalamin in the treatment of peripheral neurotoxicity caused by Albumin-Bound Paclitaxel |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of wax therapy combined with Mecobalamin in the treatment of peripheral neurotoxicity caused by Albumin-Bound Paclitaxel.Methods A total of 98 patients with Albumin-Bound Paclitaxelinduced peripheral neurotoxicity admitted to Chaoyang District Third Ring Tumor Hospital,Beijing from January 2019 to December 2020 were selected as the study subjects.According to random number table method,the patients were divided into monotherapy group (49 cases) and combination group (49 cases).The monotherapy group was treated with Mecobalamine Tablets,and the combination group was treated with Mecobalamine Tablets combined with wax therapy.The therapeutic effect,sensory nerve conduction velocity (SNCV) and motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCV),pain degree and safety were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of combination group was higher than that of monotherapy group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).MNCV,SNCV median nerve conduction velocity and peroneal nerve conduction velocity in the combination group were higher than those in the monotherapy group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The degree of pain after treatment in the combination group was lower than that in the monotherapy group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of wax therapy and Mecobalamin has a significant effect on peripheral neurotoxicity caused by Albumin-Bound Paclitaxel.It can speed up nerve conduction,relieve pain,and has fewer adverse reactions,which has the value of popularization and application.
