Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of Dapagliflozin combined with Liraglutide in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 80 cases with type 2 diabetes mellitus from January 2017 to October 2018 in our hospital were selected as the research objects, and were divided into the observation group (40 cases) and the control group (40 cases) according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with Liraglutide, the observation group was treated with Dapagliflozin before breakfast on the basis of the control group. The blood glucose metabolic indexes (such as abdominal blood glucose, blood glucose 2 hours after meal, HbA1c and HOMA-IR changes), the metabolic indexes of blood lipid (such as total cholesterol [TC], triglyceride [TG], low density lipoprotein[LDL-C]and high density lipoprotein [HDL-C]), the changes of body mass index (BMI) in the two groups before and after intervention were compared. The complications of the two groups were analyzed after one year follow-up.Results The levels of fasting blood glucose, 2-hour postprandial blood glucose, HbA1c and HOMA-IR in the blood glucose metabolic indexes in the observation group after intervention were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The levels of TC, TG and LDL-C in blood lipid metabolic indexes in the observation group after intervention were lower than those in the control group, the levels of HDL-C in the observation group after intervention was higher than control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After intervention, the BMI in the observation group was lower than before intervention and in the control group after intervention, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).During the follow-up period of one year, the incidence of diabetic foot, retinopathy, peripheral neuropathy and diabetic nephropathy in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of Liraglutide and Dapagliflozin for type 2 diabetes can better regulate blood sugar, lipid metabolism and body constitution, and reduce or delay the incidence of complications.
