Effects of sling exercise therapy on gross exercise in children with motor retardation |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of sling exercise therapy on gross exercise in children with motor retardation.Methods From January 2019 to September 2020, a total of 60 children diagnosed with motor development delay admitted to the department of Children′s Rehabilitation, Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Pingxiang were selected as research subjects.They were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table.The control group used conventional comprehensive early intervention training, and in the observation group, sling exercise therapy was added on the basis of the control group.The scores of gross motor function measure scale (GMFM -88) and Peabody developmental motor function scale (PDMS -2) were compared between the two groups.Results Before treatment, the regional A-E scores of GMFM-88 were compared between the two groups, with no statistically significant differences (P>0.05).After treatment, the regional A-E scores of GMFM-88 were higher than those before treatment in the group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).After treatment,the regional A~E scores of GMFM-88 of the observation group were higher than those of the control group in the same period, with statistically significant differences (P <0.05).Before treatment, the PDMS -2 score for each item were compared between the two groups, with no statistically significant differences (P>0.05).After treatment, the PDMS-2 score for each item were higher than those before treatment in the group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).After treatment, the PDMS-2 score for each item of the observation group were higher than those of the control group in the same period, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).Conclusion Sling exercise therapy can improve the children′ s motor and neurodevelopment, and meanwhile increase the children′ s compliance.The comprehensive intervention treatment in children with motor retardation can reduce the incidence of neurological abnormalities in the future, improve the ability of motor posture control, and enhance the core muscle strength to promote early recovery of children.
