Clinical effect of transurethral 1470 nm laser en bloc resection in the treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer |

Abstract Objective To investigate the clinical effect of transurethral 1470 nm laser en bloc resection in the treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.Methods The clinical data of 107 patients undergoing non-muscle invasive bladder cancer surgery in Guangdong Hydropower Hospital from January 2017 to January 2020 were retrospectively selected.According to different surgical methods, they were divided into laser group (49 cases) and electric resection group(58 cases).The laser group was treated with transurethral 1470 nm laser en bloc resection, and the electric resection group was treated with transurethral plasma resection.The average operation time, intraoperative blood loss, continuous bladder irrigation time after operation, average hospital stay after operation, the incidence of obturator nerve reflex and bladder perforation and the postoperative tumor recurrence rate index were compared between the two groups.Results The amount of intraoperative blood loss, the duration of postoperative bladder irrigation, the indwelling catheter time,the incidence rate of obturator nerve reflexes, the incidence rate of bladder perforation, the average postoperative hospital stay, and the tumor recurrence rate at 15 months after surgery in the laser group were less than the resection group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no statistical significance in the operation time and the tumor recurrence rate at 6 months after the operation between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion Transurethral 1470 nm laser en bloc resection in the treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer has the advantages of less blood loss, quicker recovery, lower complication rate and low recurrence rate, it is worthy of clinical application.
