Analysis of endoscopic manifestations and pathological types of 277 patients with colorectal polyps |

Abstract Objective To explore the endoscopic manifestations, pathological types and clinical features of colorectal polyps. Methods To retrospectively analyze the clinical data of 277 patients with colorectal polyps who underwent endoscopic treatment in the Department of Gastroenterology, the People′s Hospital of Bozhou from June 2016 to May 2019, and compare the endoscopic manifestations, pathological types and clinical features. Results A total of 277 patients with colorectal polyps were detected with a detection rate of 9.01%, including 195 males (detection rate was 11.92%) and 82 females (detection rate was 5.7%). The detection rate of colorectal polyps in the male group was higher than that of females Group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). With the increase of age, the detection rate of colorectal polyps in patients gradually increased (P<0.05), and the detection rate of colorectal polyps in the age≥40 years patients was significantly higher than that in the age <40 patients, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Morphology under endoscopy: the lesions were protruding, including 15 pedicles (3.6%), 38 pedicles(9.1%), and 364 pedicleless (87.3%). Postoperative pathological types: 76 inflammatory polyps (18.2%), 139 hyperplastic polyps (33.3%), 162 tubular adenomas (38.9%), 30 tubular villous adenomas (7.2%), villous glands 10 tumors(2.4%). A total of 202 adenomatous polyps were found in colorectal polyps, the larger the polyp, the higher the possibility of polyp cancer, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total incidence of adenomatous polyps with a diameter> 1 cm was higher than the diameter adenomatous polyps ≤1 cm, the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The endoscopic manifestations of colorectal polyps are protruding, most of which are sessile.The incidence of colorectal polyps is related to age and gender. Colorectal polyps canceration is related to the size of adenomatous polyps. Clinically for men, age ≥40 years, polyps Patients with adenomatous polyps with a diameter greater than 1cm should pay close attention to early diagnosis and early treatment.
