Clinical effect of Qiming Granule combined with Esculin and Digitalis Glycosides Eye Drops in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus dry eye |

Abstract Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Qiming Granule combined with Esculin and Digitalis Glycosides Eye Drops in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)complicated with dry eye.Methods From September 2018 to September 2020,a total of 120 patients with dry eye complicated with T2DM admitted to the Department of Ophthalmology,Central Hospital Affiliated to Shenyang Medical College were selected as the research objects,and divided into the experimental group(60 cases)and the control group(60 cases)by systematic randomization.The control group was treated with Qiming Granule orally,while the experimental group was treated with Qiming Granule oral administration combined with Esculin and Digitalis Glycosides Eye Drops.The total effective rate after treatment was compared between the two groups,and the results of breaking up time(BUT),Sehirmer I test(S1t)and fuorescentstaining(FL)before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of clinical treatment in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in BUT,S1t and FL between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,BUT,S1t and FL of the two groups were higher than those before treatment in the group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,BUT,S1t and FL of the test group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Qiming Granule combined with Esculin and Digitalis Glycosides Eye Drops can significantly improve dry eye symptoms in T2DM dry eye,and it is safe and effective.
