Application effect of arthroscopic limited debridement combined with Chinese medicine fumigation in the treatment of early and middle stage knee osteoarthritis |

Abstract Objective To investigate the application effect of arthroscopic limited debridement combined with Chinese medicine fumigation in the treatment of early and middle knee osteoarthritis.Methods A total of 90 patients with early and middle knee osteoarthritis admitted to Affiliated Hospital of Putian University from January 2017 to January 2019 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table methods,they were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,45 patients in each group.The control group was treated with arthroscopic limited debridement,and the observation group was treated with arthroscopic limited debridement combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation.The score of pain visual analogue scale (VAS),knee range of motion(ROM),Lysholm knee function score before and 2,4,8 and 12 weeks after surgery and the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese Medicine at 12 weeks after surgery were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine in the observation group at 12 weeks after surgery was 95.56%,which was significantly higher than that in the control group (82.22%),with statistical significance (P<0.05).Before and 2 weeks after surgery,there were no significant differences in the VAS pain score,knee ROM and Lysholm knee function score between the two groups(P>0.05).The VAS pain score of the observation group at 4,8 and 12 weeks after surgery were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).The Knee ROM and Lysholm knee function score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group at 4,8 and 12 weeks after surgery,and the differences were sta-tistically significant(P<0.01).The VAS pain score,knee ROM and Lysholm knee function score of patients in the same group at 12 weeks after surgery were compared with those before surgery and 2 weeks after surgery,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01).Conclusion Arthroscopic limited debridement combined with fumigation of Bushen Huoxue decoction can effectively relieve the pain of knee joint,improve the function of knee joint,and have a good effect on early and middle knee osteoarthritis.
