Expression of microRNA-365 and correlation with blood pressure and left ventricular mass index in the plasma of patients with hypertensive myocardial hypertrophy |

Abstract Objective Analysis the expression of microRNA-365 (miRNA-365) and correlation with blood pressure and left ventricular mass index in the plasma of patients with hypertensive myocardial hypertrophy. Methods A total of 100 patients with hypertension admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical University from June 2020 to February 2021 were selected as the research subjects, patients with hypertension complicated with left ventricular hypertrophy were divided into observation group (50 cases), patients with simple hypertension were divided into control group 2 (50 cases), and 50 healthy subjects who underwent physical examination at the same period were selected as control group 1. Ambulate blood pressure, clinic blood pressure and color doppler echocardiography were performed in all three groups. The expression of circulating miRNA-365 was detected by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), and the correlation between miRNA-365 expression level and blood pressure parameters and left ventricular mass index was analyzed. Results The dynamic blood pressure, daytime blood pressure, clinic blood pressure and left ventricular mass index of the observation group were higher than those of control group 1 and control group 2, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The expression level of miRNA-365 in observation group(1.22±0.31) was higher than that in control group 1 (0.84±0.16) and control group 2 (1.02±0.27), the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Pearson analysis showed that miRNA-365 expression was positively correlated with ambulate blood pressure (24 h mean systolic pressure, 24 h mean diastolic pressure, 24 h mean pulse pressure) and left ventricular mass index (P<0.05). There was no significant correlation with daytime blood pressure (daytime systolic blood pressure, daytime diastolic blood pressure, daytime pulse pressure) and office blood pressure (office systolic blood pressure, office diastolic blood pressure, office pulse pressure) (P>0.05). Conclusion miRNA-365 is positively correlated with ambulatory blood pressure and left ventricular mass index in patients with hypertensive myocardial hypertrophy disease, detection of miRNA-365 expression in plasma can assist in the diagnosis of hypertensive myocardial hypertrophy.
