Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of special head scraping therapy in insomnia patients with liver stagnation and fire.Methods From November 2020 to May 2021 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Hu′nan University of Chinese Medicine,60 Patients with insomnia of liver stagnation and fire type were selected and divided into the control group(30 cases)and the observation group(30 cases)by random number table method.On the basis of conventional nursing,the control group was treated with traditional head scraping therapy,and the observation group was treated with special head scraping therapy.Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI)score,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptom score and self-rating anxiety scale (SAS)score were compared between the two groups.Results PSQI score，TCM symptom and SAS score of two groups after treatment were lower than before,and PSQI score,TCM symptom and SAS score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Special head scraping therapy can effectively improve the sleep quality of patients with liver stagnation and fire type insomnia,reduce the symptoms of TCM,reduce anxiety and the effect is more significant than the traditional head scraping.
