Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of traditional Chinese medicine Anshen pillow combined with self-management in improving negative emotions of patients with coronary heart disease.Methods A total of 100 patients with coronary heart disease admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from January to December 2019 were selected and divided into the control group(50 cases)and the study group(50 cases)according to the operation sequence.The patients in the control group were given conventional nursing methods,while the patients in the study group were given conventional nursing+traditional Chinese medicine Anshen pillow combined with selfmanagement methods.The negative emotions (Hamilton depression scale [HADA],Hamilton anxiety scale[HAMA]),Seattle angina questionnaire(SAQ)scale,self-management score and sleep quality score(Pittsburgh sleep quality index[PQSI])were compared between the two groups.Results There were no significant differences in HADA,HAMA,SAQ,self-management ability and PQSI scores between the two groups before intervention (P>0.05).After intervention,the scores of HADA,HAMA and PQSI in the study group were lower than those in the control group,while the scores of SAQ and self-management ability in the study group were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine Anshen pillow combined with self-management is effective in improving the negative emotions of patients with coronary heart disease,which can obviously improve their symptoms and their sleep quality,enhance their self-management ability,which is worthy of clinical application and recommendation.
