Abstract Objective To explore the expression of DEPDC1B in bladder cancer and its clinical relevance. Methods A total of 153 cases of bladder cancer from January 2015 to December 2020 in the oncology department of our hospital were randomly selected as the research objects. The mRNA levels of DEPDC1B,NF-κB and ERK1/2 were detected by qRT-PCR,and the protein levels of depdc1b were detected by Western Blot. Results The level of mRNR of DEPDC1B in the cystic cancer tissue was higher than that in the paracellular tissue of carcinoma, with statistical significant difference (P<0.05).The protein expression level of DEPDC1B in the cystic cancer tissue was higher than that in the paracellular tissue of carcinoma, with statistical significant difference (P<0.05).The degree of differentiation and TNM grade of bladder cancer of the DEPDC1B high-expression group were higher than those of the DEPDC1B low-expression group, with statistical significant differences(P<0.05).There were no correlation between DEPDC1B expression with age, sex, tumor size, and number of patients with bladder cancer(P>0.05).The mRNA levels of Rac1 and ERK1/2 in the bladder cancer tissues were higher than those in the paracellular tissue of carcinoma, with statistical significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion DEPDC1B is highly expressed in bladder cancer and is closely related to the progression of bladder cancer.DEPDC1B may play a role in promoting cancer by activating Rac1 and ERK1/2.
