Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of psychological intensive care unit nursing in patients with depression in psychological intensive care unit.Methods A total of 100 patients with depression admitted to the Department of Clinical Psychology in Jian′an Third People′s Hospital from January 2018 to January 2020 were selected as the research objects,and they were divided into the experimental group(50 cases)and the control group(50 cases)according to the random number table method.The control group was treated with close-off management mode,and the experimental group was treated with psychological intensive care unit nursing.The suicidal tendency rates,depression degrees and quality of life of the two groups were compared at admission and 4 weeks after admission.Results There was no significant difference in the proportion of suicide risk at all levels at admission between the two groups(P>0.05).Four weeks after admission,the suicide risk of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in depression score between the two groups before nursing(P>0.05).The depression score of the two groups after nursing was lower than that before nursing,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The depression score of the experimental group after nursing was lower than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of physiological function,physical function,sleep quality and emotional function of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application effect of psychological intensive care unit nursing in patients with depression in psychological intensive care unit is significant,which can reduce the tendency of suicide,alleviate the degree of inhibition,and improve the quality of life.
