Abstract Objective To discuss the application of case teaching method in the teaching of antiviral nursing interns with chronic hepatitis B.Methods A total of 60 nursing interns from January to December in 2019 were selected for the study, and they were divided into group A and group B by random number table method, with 30 cases in each group.Group A was taught by routine interns. On this basis, group B was given case teaching method.Theoretical knowledge, case analysis results, comprehensive ability and satisfaction with teaching effect were compared between the two groups of interns. Results The scores of theoretical knowledge, case analysis and the total score of group B were higher than those of group A,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total scores of operation skills, emergency ability, observation ability and comprehensive ability of group B were higher than those of group A,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of students in group B in teaching content, teaching methods, interest, ability improvement, deepening theoretical knowledge understanding and improving comprehensive analysis ability were higher than those in group A,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Case teaching method has a good effect in the teaching of chronic hepatitis B antiviral nursing interns, which can improve the interns′ knowledge of the disease, related nursing skills and self-protection ability,it is worthy of promotion.
