Study on the correlation between the level of glycolipid and small molecule metabolites in gestational diabetes |

Abstract Objective To investigate the correlation between the level of glycolipid and small molecule metabolites in gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).Methods Twenty patients with GDM admitted to Yichun People′s Hospital from January 2019 to August 2020 were selected as the observation group, and twenty normal pregnant women who were screened in Yichun People′s Hospital during the same period were selected as the control group.Compare the two groups of small molecule metabolites (tryptophan [Trp], tyrosine [Tyr]), glucose and lipid metabolism indicators (glycated hemoglobin [HbA1c], total cholesterol [TC], triglycerides [TG], high-density lipids Protein cholesterol [HDL-C] and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol [LDL-C]) levels.Pearson was used to analyze the correlation between Trp, Tyr and glucose and lipid metabolism indicators.Results The level of the Trp, Tyr, HDL-C of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the level of the HbA1c, TC, TG, LDL-C of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The level of the Trp, Tyr were compared with the level of the HDL-C were positively correlated (r=0.496, 0.485, P<0.05).The levels of the Trp and Tyr were correlated with the levels of the HbA1c (r=-0.452, -0.416, P<0.05), TC (r=-0.432, -0.405, P<0.05), TG (r=-0.558,-0.454, P<0.05), LDL-C (r=-0.514, -0.427, P<0.05) were negatively correlated.Conclusion There is correlation between the level of GDM glycolipid and small molecule metabolites.Small molecule metabolites may be involved in the abnormal process of GDM glycolipid metabolism.
