Abstract Objective To investigate the application effect of S-shaped rotating hook in the fixation of various drainage tubes after emergency trauma surgery. Methods A total of 60 patients with emergency trauma surgery treated in the Department of Emergency of the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical University from April 2019 to January 2021 were selected by double-blind method.They were randomly divided into the control group(n=30)and the observation group(n=30). The control group was given conventional fixation method, and the observation group was treated with S-shaped rotating hooks. The rate of tube detachment, status of smooth drainage, comfort during indwelling, and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence rates of tube detachment, drainage disorder, retrograde infection,and lung infection in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the patency rate of drainage tube in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference (P＜0.05).The comfort during indwelling in the observation group was better than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference (P＜0.05).The quality of life scores of the two groups after 7 days of intervention were higher than those before intervention,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The scores of physiological role,physical pain,physiological function, mental health, and emotional intelligence in the observation group after 7 days of intervention were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05). Conclusion The application of S-shaped rotating hook in the fixation of drainage tubes after emergency trauma surgery can reduce the rate of tube detachment, improve the patency of drainage tube, improve the comfort of patients during indwelling, and achieve a higher quality of life. It is worthy of promotion and application.
