Abstract Objective To investigate the application of individualized prescription diet in pulmonary tuberculosis patients with diabetes. Methods A total of 80 cases of newly treated pulmonary tuberculosis patients with type 2 diabetes who were admitted to the four departments of Jiangxi Chest Hospital from February 2019 to December 2019 were selected as the research objects, according to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group(n=40)and the experimental group(n=40).The control group was guided by regular diet, experimental group received individualized diet prescription, all patients were followed up by telephone after discharge were followed up for 3 months..The two groups of patients were compared with whole blood fasting blood glucose(FBG),2 h postprandial blood glucose(2 h PG)and glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c)levels,clinical symptoms and imaging indicators before admission and 3 months after discharge. Results The levels of whole blood FBG,2 h PG,HbA1c and the clinical symptom scores of cough and sputum in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group 3 months after discharge, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The lesion closure rate in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group 3 months after discharge,no change rate was lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Individualized dietary prescriptions are better than conventional dietary guidance in controlling blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes and tuberculosis, and the efficacy of anti-TB drugs can play a normal, control the development of tuberculosis.
