Abstract Objective To explore the effect of dietary guidance on bleeding after pediatric low-temperature plasma tonsillectomy. Methods A total of 114 children with chronic tonsillitis who underwent low-temperature plasma tonsillectomy at Jingdezhen First People′s Hospital/ Jingdezhen Second People′s Hospital from October 2018 to November 2020 were selected and divided into the control group(n=55)and the observation group(n=59)according to random number table method. The control group was given routine diet care, and the observation group was given personalized diet guidance, both were observed for 14 days. The bleeding rate, bleeding time, incidence of adverse reactions, and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results Within 14 days of intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in the bleeding rate between the two groups(P>0.05).The bleeding time and the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 14 days of intervention, the nursing total satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of professional and effective personalized diet nursing guidance for children undergoing low-temperature plasma tonsillectomy after surgery will not significantly increase the bleeding rate of children, but will also shorten the bleeding time, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, and improve nursing satisfaction.
