Application effect of mind map health education in family members of children with allergic purpura |

Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of mind map health education in the family members of children with allergic purpura.Methods Forty-six children with allergic purpura who were admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Yichun University and their family members from October 2017 to June 2020 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into two groups according to the random number table method,with 23 cases in each group.Participants in the control group used traditional health education,and in the observation group,mind map health education was adopted.The disease awareness of children′s family members,care behavior compliance,and disease recurrence were compared in the two groups.Results The children′s family members of the observation group had higher disease awareness after intervention than that of the control group,and the children′s family members′awareness of the disease after the intervention in the two groups was higher than that before the intervention with statistical significance(P<0.05).The care compliance rate was 95.65% in the observation group,higher than 65.22% in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The disease recurrence rate of children in the observation group was 4.35%,lower than 34.78% in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Mind map health education can improve the disease awareness and care compliance of the family members of children with allergic purpura,and is beneficial for recurrence rate reduction and prognosis improvement.
