Abstract Objective To optimize the rules of the prescription pre-audit system of Yunfu People's Hospital, and to evaluate its clinical practice effect. Methods From July 2022 to April 2023,Yunfu People's Hospital established an audit team to screen the defects in the pre-audit system, and gradually completed the optimization.Prescriptions issued in outpatient clinics before optimization (February to June 2022)and after optimization (May to September 2023)were summarized and analyzed.Prescriptions before optimization were set as control group, prescriptions after optimization were set as observation group. The prescription intervention rate, intervention success rate and unreasonable prescription number of the two groups were compared. Results The total number of prescriptions in the control group was 265 095,the number of prescriptions reviewed by the audit system was 88 806,and the number of successful prescriptions reviewed was 9 987.The total number of outpatient prescriptions in the observation group was 303 765,the number of prescriptions reviewed by the audit system was 53 760,and the number of successful prescriptions reviewed was 11 980.The prescription intervention rate of observation group(17.70%)was lower than that of control group(33.50%),and the intervention success rate(22.28%) was higher than that of control group (11.25%),the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The same number of prescriptions were extracted from the two groups, and the irrational prescription ratio in the observation group(0.55%)was lower than that in the control group(1.87%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion After the optimization of the pre-audit system in Yunfu People's Hospital, the intervention rate of prescription was reduced, the success rate of intervention was increased, the invalid warning was reduced, the unreasonable prescription quantity was reduced, and the prescription quality was effectively improved.
