Objective To investigate the effect of Huaiqihuang Granules combined with Mycophenolate Mofetil Capsules in the treatment of IgA nephropathy in children.Methods Seventy children with IgA nephropathy admitted to the Department of Pediatric,Ganzhou People's Hospital from January 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the study subjects.According to random number table method,they were divided into observation group(35 cases)and control group(35 cases).The control group was treated with western medicine such as Mycophenolate Mofetil Capsules,while the observation group was treated with a combination of Huaiqihuang Granules for 3 months.The clinical efficacy,serum urea nitrogen level,serum creatinine level,urinary β2 microglobulin(β2-MG)level,24 h urinary protein content,urinary red blood cell count and the incidence of adverse drug reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group(91.4%)was higher than that of the control group (77.1%),and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).After treatment,the serum urea nitrogen,serum creatinine,β2-MG,24 h urinary protein and the number of urinary red blood cells in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group (20.0%) was lower than that in the control group(57.1%),and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion Huaiqihuang Granules combined with Mycophenolate Mofetil Capsules can significantly alleviate the clinical symptoms of children with IgA nephropathy,reduce urinary protein,improve renal function,reduce hematuria,improve clinical efficacy and reduce adverse reactions.
