Abstract
[Abstract] Objective On the basis of chitosan(CS)/hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose(HPMC)thermosensitive hydrogel, silk fibroin (SF)and CS were cross-linked to construct CS/HPMC/SF hydrogel, and to study the effect of SF on the properties of hydrogel. Methods CS/HPMC mixed solution was prepared by blending method. The 1%,5% and 10% SF solution and cross-linking agent genipin were added into the cylindrical mold, and the solution was heated to 37 ℃,so that the solution was changed to gel state. The morphology,Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR),X-ray diffraction (XRD),hydrophilicity and mechanical properties of the hydrogel were characterized. Results The hydrogel was porous under scanning electron microscope. With the addition of SF,the pores decreased and cracks appeared.FTIR and XRD results showed that the crystallization degree of CS and HPMC changed after mixing. When SF was added, the chemical crosslinking of SF and CS occurred, and the structure changed,so the hydrophilicity of hydrogel was weakened. The mechanical characterization showed that when the addition of SF was 5%,the resilience of the hydrogel was the best, the elastic modulus was the largest, and basically remained unchanged. Conclusion The cross-linking of SF and CS improves the performance of CS based thermosensitive hydrogel.Compared with other groups of hydrogels,CS/HPMC-5% SF maintains good hydrophilicity and has good mechanical properties.
