Abstract  Objective To explore the application effect of traditional Chinese medicine soaking combined with recombinant epidermal cells in patients with pressure ulcers. Methods Sixty patients with pressure ulcers admitted to Guixi Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into control group and observation group using the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with recombinant epidermal growth factor method, while the observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine soaking on the basis of the control group. The effective rate of wound healing, inflammatory factor levels, symptom relief time, and transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)of the two groups after intervention were analyzed. The expression level of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and the incidence of adverse reactions. Results The comparison of TGF-β1,VEGF expression level and inflammatory factor level of the two group before treatment showed no statistically significant differences(P>0.05).After treatment, the expression levels of TGF-β1,VEGF and inflammatory factors of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The symptom relief time and incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of wound healing in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion In clinical practice, the use of recombinant epidermal growth factor combined with traditional Chinese medicine soaking is more effective in repairing pressure ulcer wounds. The total effective rate of wound healing in patients is improved, the time for symptom relief is shortened, the incidence of adverse reactions is low,the safety is high, and the effect is significant. The clinical application value is high.
