Application of oscillating sieve atomization in patients undergoing mechanical ventilation |

Abstract Objective To analyze the impact of implementing an oscillating sieve atomization device in the nebulization administration of mechanically ventilated patients on their respiratory system status.Methods A total of 62 patients with respiratory diseases who underwent mechanical ventilation support in the Department of Critical Care Medicine,Xingguo Hospital Affiliated to Gannan Medical College from September 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects,and they were divided into control group and observation group according to the odd-even method,with 31 patients in each group.The control group received conventional oxygen drive atomization medication,while the observation group received oscillating sieve atomization medication.The respiratory parameters,atomization indicators,and blood gas indicators of the two groups of patients were compared under different medication regimens Serum inflammatory markers.Results The tidal volume and dynamic compliance of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the airway peak pressure and respiratory rate were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The atomization preparation time,atomization administration time,residual amount of atomization administration,and ventilator alarm times after atomization in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05).The arterial partial pressure of oxygen,oxygenation index and pH value of the observation group after treatment were higher than those of the control group,while arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide and respiratory rate were lower than those of the control group,the arterial partial pressure of oxygen,oxygenation index and pH value of the two groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment,while arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide and respiratory rate were lower than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The levels of interleukin-13,procalcitonin,human soluble intercellular adhesion molecule,granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor,C-reactive protein in the observation group after treatment were lower than those in the control group,and the inflammatory indexes in the two groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of an oscillating sieve atomization device in the atomization administration of mechanically ventilated patients can enhance the efficacy of the medication,shorten the administration time,improve the patient's respiratory indicators,and promote the regression of inflammation,which has important application value.
