Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of Ginkgo Biloba Leaves Extract assisted with Metoprolol in the treatment of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD) with unstable angina pectoris (UAP).Methods A total of 120 patients with CHD and UAP admitted to the Heze Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 60 patients in each group. The control group patients were treated with Metoprolol, while the observation group patients were treated with Ginkgo Biloba Leaves Extract in addition to the control group. The incidence of angina pectoris, cardiac function related indicators, laboratory related indicators, total effective rate of treatment and total incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups of patients. Results Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in the incidence of angina pectoris, cardiac function related indicators, and laboratory related indicators between the two groups of patients (P >0.05).After treatment, the frequency of angina attacks, left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD),left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD),serum monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1),soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1)and hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs CRP) in both groups of patients were lower than those before treatment, the onset time was shorter than that before treatment, the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was higher than that before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The frequency of angina attacks,LVESD,LVEDD,MCP-1,sICAM-1 and hs CRP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group after treatment, the onset time was shorter than that of the control group,LVEF was higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).Conclusion The application of Metoprolol and Ginkgo Biloba Leaves Extract to treat CHD patients with UAP can improve their cardiac function, reduce the frequency of angina attacks, and have a good therapeutic effect, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
