Objective To investigate the relationship between Helicobacter pylori associated dyspepsia (HpD) and interleukin-6 (IL-6)and interleukin-8 (IL-8).Methods Fifty-seven patients with Hp-positive dyspepsia diagnosed and treated in the Department of Gastroenterology,Xiangcheng People's Hospital of Suzhou City from May 2020 to October 2021 were selected as the study objects. The levels of IL-6 and IL-8 were detected before and after the eradication of Hp,and the patients were followed up for 6-12 months after eradication. The patients were divided into HpD group and functional dyspepsia (FD)group according to the scores of digestive symptoms. The expression levels of IL-6 and IL-8 were compared between the two groups before treatment, and the ROC curve was drawn to analyze the value of serum IL-6 and IL-8 in the early diagnosis of HpD before treatment. Results After 12 months of follow-up,50 patients were successfully eradicated, including 12 in the HpD group and 38 in the FD group. The score of digestive tract symptom at 1,3,6 and 12 months after eradication of Hp in the HpD group was lower than that before treatment, and the score of digestive tract symptom at 1 month after treatment in the FD group was lower than that before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There were no significant differences in IL-6 and IL-8 between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of IL-6 and IL-8 in FD group were higher than those in HpD group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).ROC curve showed that the AUC,sensitivity, specificity and optimal cut-off point of serum IL-6 before treatment were 0.711,75.0%,76.3% and 89.95,respectively.Serum IL-8 level predicted the AUC,sensitivity, specificity and optimal cut-off point of HpD were 0.724,87.21%,54.3% and 281.25,respectively.Conclusion IL-6 and IL-8 in serum of dyspepsia patients with positive Hp may be one of the early diagnostic indicators of HpD.
