Abstract Objective To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture on infertility of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)with kidney deficiency and liver depression. Methods A total of 60 patients with PCOS infertility of kidney deficiency and liver depression from June 2020 to June 2022 were divided into control group (n=30)and observation group (n=30)by random number table method. The control group was given treatment with Letrozole to promote ovulation, and the observation group was given Letrozole combined with acupuncture therapy. The mean uterine artery pulse index (PI),resistance index (RI),endometrial thickness (ET),self-rating anxiety scale (SAS),self-rating depression scale (SDS)scores, ovulation rate and pregnancy rate of the two groups were compared before and after treatment, and the clinical efficacy was evaluated. Results There were no significant differences in PI,RI,ET,SAS and SDS between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05).The ET of the observation group after treatment was higher than that of the control group, while the PI,RI,SAS and SDS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The ovulation rate, pregnancy rate and total effective rate of the observation group were higher than those of the control group after treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture combined with letrozole in the treatment of the patients with PCOS infertility can effectively improve clinical symptoms, increase the ovulation rate and pregnancy rate.
