Effects of stage scenario simulation education on mentality and self-efficacy of pregnant women with high-risk pregnancy |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effects of stage scenario simulation education on mentality and self-efficacy of pregnant women with high-risk pregnancy. Methods A total of 86 pregnant women with high-risk pregnancy admitted to Jiujiang Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2019 to June 2021 were selected as the study subjects,they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 43 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were given conventional nursing, while patients in the observation group were given stage scenario simulation education on the basis of the control group. Intervention lasted until a week after delivery. The psychological status scores of patient health questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), state-trait anxiety inventor (STAI), fatigue severity scale (FSS) and general self-efficacy scale (GSES) scores were compared between the two groups before and after intervention. Results There were no significant differences in PHQ-9, STAI, and FSS scores between the two groups before intervention (P>0.05). After intervention, PHQ-9, STAI, and FSS scores of the two groups were lower than those before intervention, while GSES scores were higher than those before intervention, the differences were stastically significant (P<0.05). After intervention, there were no significant differences in PHQ-9, STAI, and FSS scores between two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion The application of stage scenario simulation education can improve anxiety,depression, fatigue and other adverse mentalities of pregnant women with high-risk pregnancy and enhance self-efficacy, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
