The theory of lucid Yang and clear orifices is based on the theory of ascending and descending, Qi, blood,body fluid and Zang Fu organs. It is an important theory to study the physiology and pathology of head and facial features and used for clinical prevention and treatment. The theory of lucid Yang and clear orifices sprouted in the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period, developed greatly in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, improved in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and has made great progress so far. It is one of the basic theories of ophthalmology, otolaryngology. Lucid Yang has the functions of nourishing, warming and protecting the eyes, which is particularly important in the clinical treatment of ophthalmology. It is widely used in both internal and external eye diseases, and has definite clinical curative effect. The clinical symptoms of ophthalmology need to regulate the Qi machine, promote Yang and strengthen the spleen, and pay attention to nourishing, protecting and promoting Yang.
