Abstract Objective To explore the effect of procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids (PPH) in the treatment of severe hemorrhoids on the operation time of patients. Methods A total of 82 patients with severe hemorrhoids treated in Haikou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hainan province from January 2020 to October 2021 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into the control group and the research group by random number table method, with 41 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional surgery. And PPH was performed in the study group. The clinical treatment effect, clinical indicators and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The operative time, pain time, wound healing time and hospital stay in the study group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total incidence of complications in the study group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion PPH treatment can effectively optimize various clinical indicators, reduce the treatment time, reduce the incidence of complications, with high safety, good prognosis, significant effect, worthy of popularization and application.
