| Application exploration of anal endoscopy combined with laparoscopic total mesorectal excision in low rectal cancer |

Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of anal endoscopy combined with laparoscopic total mesorectal excision in low rectal cancer. Methods The clinical data of 72 patients with low rectal cancer treated in our hospital from August 2016 to October 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into the conventional group and the combined group according to different surgical methods, 36 cases in each group. In the conventional group, laparoscopic total mesorectal excision was used, and in the combined group, anal endoscopy combined with laparoscopic total mesorectal excision was used. The surgical indexes, postoperative recovery, surgical specimen indexes and postoperative complications of the two groups were compared. Results The length of surgical incision, the time of getting out of bed of the patients in the combined group were shorter than those of the conventional group, the amount of intraoperative bleeding in the combined group was less than that of the conventional group, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). The total incidence of complications in the combined group was 5.26%, which was lower than that in the conventional group (25.00%), the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05). The satisfaction rate of incision beauty of the combined group was 94.44%, which was higher than that of the conventional group (75.00%), the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05). There were no significant differences between the two groups in the distal margin,proximal margin, number of lymph node dissections, 1ow anterior resection syndrome score, and mesorectal integrity(P＞0.05). Conclusion Anal endoscopy combined with laparoscopic total mesorectal excision is effective in the treatment of low rectal cancer. It can effectively remove the lesions, and has mild surgical trauma, few complications, and good cosmetic effects, which can speed up the postoperative recovery of patients.
