Clinical effect of orthodontics combined with repair therapy in the treatment of dentition defect complicated with dentognathic deformity

Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of orthodontics combined with repair therapy in the treatment of dentition defect complicated with dentognathic deformity.Methods A total of 92 patients with dentition defect complicated with dentognathic deformity treated in Dalian Friendship Hospital from January 20,2015 to May 20,2016 were selected as the subjects,and divided into two groups by the order of admission,46 cases in each group.The routine group was given repair therapy alone,and the experimental group was further given orthodontic treatment.The therapeutic effect was compared between the two groups.Results The excellent and good rate of treatment in the experimental group(97.83%)was significantly higher than that in the routine group(82.61%),the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The percentage of occlusion,teeth tidiness and anterior teeth overbite in the experimental group after recovery was significantly higher than that in the routine group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The total treatment satisfaction in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the conventional group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The application value of orthodontic therapy combined with repair therapy in the patients with dentition defect and dentognathic deformity is significant.The teeth function and aesthetic aspects have achieved a better recovery effect,which is worthy of adoption.
