Objective To explore the effect of reflective cycle model combined with explication-simulation-exercise-communication-support(ESPCS)intervention in self-management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).Methods A total of 90 COPD patients admitted to Jiujiang NO.1 People's Hospital from July 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the research objects.They were divided into control group and study group by random number table method,with 45 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing,and the study group received reflective cycle model combined with ESPCS nursing intervention.The changes of self-management behavior and mental state were compared between the two groups.Results Before intervention,there were no significant differences in self-management behavior scale scores between the two groups (P＞0.05).After intervention,the self-management behavior score of the study group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Before intervention,there were no significant differences in self-rating anxiety scale (SAS)and self-rating depression scale (SDS)scores between the two groups (P＞0.05).After intervention,the scores of SAS and SDS in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion Reflective cycle model combined with ESPCS intervention can effectively improve the self-management ability and attention of COPD patients,and actively adjust their diet,rest,rehabilitation exercise and living habits,improve bad mood,and help improve the quality of life of patients,and can be further promoted in clinical application.
