Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of self-prepared Goucaopinggan Decoction combined with nursing intervention in the treatment of vertigo caused by vertebro-basilar artery insufficiency. Methods A total of 80 patients with vertigo caused by vertebro-basilar artery insufficiency admitted to the Department of Internal Medicine of Fuzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to February 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group(40 cases)and observation group(40 cases)by random number table method. The control group was given routine treatment and nursing intervention, while the observation group was given oral self-prepared Goucaopinggan Decoction on the basis of the control group. The general data of the two groups of patients were compared, and the differences in vertigo, quality of life, and psychological state before and after treatment in the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the dizziness handicap inventory (DHI) score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the general quality of life inventory -74 (GQOL-74) score of the observation group after treatment was higher than that of the control group after treatment, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The scores of self-rating depression scale (SDS)and self-rating anxiety scale (SAS)in the observation group after treatment were lower than those before treatment and in the control group after treatment, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).Conclusion The results of this study suggested that self-made hook grass and liver-leveling soup combined with nursing intervention could effectively improve the clinical symptoms of vertigo caused by vertebro-basilar artery insufficiency.
