Analysis of clinical application of Taichong Point in Great Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion

Abstract:By sorting out the relevant articles of Taichong point in Great Compendiun of Acupuncture and Moxibustion and combining with recent clinical research,this research discusses and analyzes the naming,positioning,acupuncture and moxibustion methods of Taichong point and the clinical application of acupuncture and moxibustion,in order to provide theoretical basis and support for clinical and experimental research.The Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian runs from the feet to the chest and abdomen,belonging to the liver meridian and gallbladder,and is connected to the lungs,stomach,kidneys,brain,throat,eyes,lips,and genital organs.The Taichong acupoint is located in the dorsum of the foot area,and the operating methods are mostly acupuncture and moxibustion.Clinical operations are mostly diarrhea.The Taichong acupoint,as the original and acupoint of the Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian,belongs to the earth acupoint of the Wood Meridian in the Five Elements.Its efficacy is mainly related to its positioning,meridian distribution,and acupoint properties.It has functions such as soothing the liver and regulating qi,promoting blood circulation and regulating blood circulation,and relieving pain through meridians.When used in conjunction with other acupoints,it can treat internal medicine related diseases (liver and gallbladder diseases,spleen and stomach diseases,kidney system diseases,limb meridian diseases),as well as gynecological and surgical diseases.Taichong point is a commonly used acupoint in clinical practice,and is commonly used in modern clinical practice for gynecological diseases,limb meridian diseases,and emotional diseases.
