Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of different implantation angles of microscrew implant anchorage on alveolar resorption and the incidence of complications in orthodontic patients. Methods A total of 80 orthodontic patients who needed to be treated with retraction of anterior teeth and admitted to the Department of Stomatology at Pingxiang People's Hospital from January 2019 to December 2021 were selected as the study objects. They were divided into group A (at 30° to the alveolar surface,26 cases),group B (at 60° to the alveolar surface,29 cases)and group C(at 90°to the alveolar surface,25 cases)according to the implantation angle of microscrew implant anchorage. The stability of microscrew implant, alveolar resorptionand the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results After applying 150 g of load, the microscrew implant loosening ratein of group B was lower than those in group A and group C,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.017).The absorption values of alveolar height and width in group B were lower than those in group A and group C,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of complications among the groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The stability of microscrew implanted at an angle of 60°to the alveolar surface is the best. This method can better reduce lateral and longitudinal alveolar resorption, without increasing the incidence of complications.Clinicians can consider this angle when implanting microscrew implant.
