Objective To investigate the application effect of acupoint massage combined with reading therapy in rehabilitation of schizophrenic patients.Methods A total of 60 patients with schizophrenia admitted to Jiangxi Mental Hospital from July 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into the control group and the experimental group by random number table method,with 30 patients in each group.The control group received schizophrenia rehabilitation therapy plus acupoint massage,while the experimental group received reading therapy on the basis of the control group.Before and after treatment for 8 weeks,the positive and negative symptom scale (PANSS) was used to evaluate the symptoms of schizophrenia in patients,the Chinese version of the Connor-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC)was used to evaluate the level of resilience in patients,the repeatable battery for the assessment of neuropsychological status (RBANS)was used to evaluate the cognitive ability of patients,and the general quality of life index-74 scale (GQOLI-74)was used to evaluate the quality of life of patients.Results After treatment,the PANSS scores of positive symptoms,negative symptoms,and neuropathological symptoms in both groups were lower than those before treatment,and the PANSS score in the experimental group after treatment was lower than that in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).After treatment,the CD-RISC,RBANS,and GQOLI-74 scores in both groups were higher than those before treatment,and the CD-RISC,RBANS,and GQOLI-74 scores in the experimental group after treatment were higher than those in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion Acupoint massage combined with reading therapy can improve psychological resilience,cognitive ability and quality of life of schizophrenic patients,thereby promoting recovery.
