Relevance of knowledge sharing,interpersonal communication,organizational trust and empowering leadership among intensive care unit nurses

Abstract:Objective To explore the correlation between knowledge sharing,interpersonal communication,organizational trust and empowering leadership among nurses in intensive care unit(ICU).Methods A total of 206 ICU nurses from 8 Grade A hospitals in Shandong Province and Jilin Province from July to October 2022 were selected as the study subjects.General data questionnaire,nurse knowledge sharing,empowerment leadership,communication ability and organizational trust scale were used to analyze the study.Results Knowledge sharing among nurses was (3.87±0.59)points,empowering leadership was(3.71±0.52)points,communication ability was(3.71±0.55)points,organizational trust was(3.69±0.62)points.Empowered leadership,communication ability,organizational trust and knowledge sharing were all positively correlated (P<0.05).The direct effect of empowered leadership on knowledge sharing was 0.548,the indirect effect was 0.098,and the total effect was 0.647.The direct effect of communication ability on knowledge sharing behavior of nurses was 0.161,the indirect effect was 0.084,and the total effect was 0.245.Conclusion In order to improve the knowledge sharing behavior of nurses,it is necessary not only to improve the empowerment level of nursing managers and the communication ability of nurses,but also to explore ways to improve the trust of nurses in the human resource management scheme of nursing organizations.
