Abstract:Objective To investigate the influencing factors of alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)level in patients with primary hepatic carcinoma(PHC)in Yanbian area. Methods The clinical data of 480 patients with PHC in Yanbian Hospital from 2016 to 2022 was retrospectively analyzed.Clinical data included general condition, alcohol consumption, serum protein level, liver cirrhosis, portal vein cancer thrombus, tumor size and number, hepatitis B virus (HBV)infection and AFP level.Univariate and logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the influencing factors of AFP in PHC patients. Results The results of single factor analysis showed that the level of AFP in patients with PHC was related to gender, nationality, cirrhosis, portal vein cancer thrombus, tumor number and HBV markers, with statistical significances(P<0.05).The level of AFP in patients with PHC was not related to age, four liver function indexes, tumor size and alcohol consumption, the differences were not significant(P>0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that portal vein cancer thrombus(β=1.837,OR=6.280,95%CI=3.061-12.883),HBV marker positive(β=2.049,OR=0.341,95%CI=3.976-15.160),multiple tumor(β=0.541,OR=1.717,95%CI=1.087-2.713)were independent risk factors for AFP levels(P<0.05).Conclusion AFP levels in patients with PHC were correlated with gender, ethnicity, cirrhosis, portal vein cancer thrombus, tumor number and HBV marker infection.Positive portal vein cancer thrombus,HBV marker positive and multiple tumor were independent risk factors for PHC.
