Abstract:Objective To explore the value of endoscopic retrograde appendicitistherapy (ERAT)in pediatric appendicitis. Methods A total of 60 children with acute simple appendicitis admitted to Ganzhou People's Hospital from January 2021 to June 2022 were selected as subjects, and they were divided into experimental group (n=30)and control group (n=30)according to random number table method. The control group received antibiotic treatment, while the experimental group received ERAT treatment. The relevant time indicators, incidence of complications, and white blood cell levels before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results Symptom relief time, white blood cell recovery time, body temperature recovery time and hospitalization time of test group were shorter than those of control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of complications between the experimental group and the control group (P>0.05).The leukocyte level of experimental group was lower than that of control group 1 day after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The recurrence rate of experimental group was lower than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of endoscopic retrograde appendicitis treatment scheme in the treatment of simple appendicitis in children has significant effects on promoting rapid remission of symptoms and shortening the hospital stay of children, and can effectively reduce the recurrence rate of children.
