Objective To explore the effect of staged rehabilitation nursing intervention model on improving the joint function of femoral shaft fracture. Methods The clinical data of 76 children with femoral shaft fracture admitted to the Department of Orthopedics,Jiangxi Provincial Children's Hospital from July 2020 to June 2021 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different nursing methods, they were divided into control group (33 cases)and observation group(43 cases).Patients in the control group received routine nursing, while patients in the observation group received routine nursing combined with staged rehabilitation nursing. The joint function and mental state of children before and after the intervention and the exercise compliance after the intervention were compared between the two groups. Results The bone healing time and clinical healing time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the active flexion activity between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).After intervention, the active flexion activity of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).After intervention, the total compliance rate of exercise and the scores of quality of life (mental state, stomach absorption, limb pain and sleep)of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of fracture complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the nursing satisfaction scores (communication style, nursing technology, admission education, medication guidance of the parents of the children were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation effect of staged rehabilitation nursing intervention in children with femoral shaft fracture is significant, which can significantly improve the joint function of children.
