Objective To explore the effect of Yuping Fengsan Granules combined with Montelukast Sodium and Mometasone Furoate Nasal Spray in treating adenoid hypertrophy.Methods Eighty children with adenoid hypertrophy who were treated in Department of Otolaryngology of Boai Hospital of Zhongshan,Guangdong Province from July 2020 to September 2021 were selected as the study subjects,and were divided into treatment group(40 cases)and control group(40 cases) by the random number table method.The treatment group was given Yuping Fengsan Granules combined with Montelkast Sodium and Mometasone Furoate Nasal Spray,while the control group was given Montelkast Sodium and Mometasone Furoate Nasal Spray.The relief time of each clinical symptom,sleep quality,the ratio of adenoid thickness to nasopharyngeal maximum anteroposterial diameter(A/N),improvement status of interleukin-2 (IL-2),interleukin-6 (IL-6)and incidence rate of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before treatment and after 3 months of treatment.Results After 3 months of treatment,the clinical symptoms of the two groups were effectively relieved,and the time needed for each symptom relief in treatment group was shorter than that in control group,and the children's sleep habits questionnaire score,A/N value and serum IL-2 and IL-6 levels indicators in treatment group were lower than those in control group,the differences were statistically significant (P ＜0.05).There was no statistically difference in the total incidence rate of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Yuping Fengsan Granules combined with Montelukast Sodium and Mometasone Furoate Nasal Spray in the treatment of adenoid hypertrophy in children can effectively promote the reliefs of clinical symptoms,improve the adenoid hypertrophy and enhance the sleep quality,and its anti-inflammatory effect is better than that of montelukast sodium and mometasone furoate nasal spray.The regimen has good safety and is available in clinical promotion and application.
