Analysis and optimizing strategy on the return of the root and rhizome traditional chinese medicine decoction pieces in Fangshan Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine

Abstract：Objective To statistically analyze the returns of root and rhizomes of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)decoction pieces that failed the acceptance in Fangshan Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 2021,and to explore how to accurately identify the authenticity of such decoction pieces,improve the quality of admitted decoction pieces,and ensure the safety and effectiveness of medication.Methods To count the return record of the root and rhizome TCM decoction pieces before warehouse in 2021,and analyze the unqualified sample.Results In 2021,a total of 106 batches of TCM decoction pieces were returned to Fangshan Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine before acceptance and warehousing,and 46 batches of root and rhizomes decoction pieces were involved,accounting for 43.4% of the unqualified batches.Among them,28 batches were unqualified,accounting for 60.9%of the unqualified batches.There were 16 unqualified batches,accounting for 34.8%of the unqualified batches.There were 2 batches in other categories,accounting for 4.3% of the unqualified batches in this category.Conclusion The unqualified rate of root and stem TCM decoction pieces is high,which should be paid more attention in the acceptance process.Medical institutions should strictly control the quality in the acceptance process,and take measures such as training of acceptance personnel,introduction of new technologies and methods,and strengthening evaluation of suppliers to avoid the warehousing of unqualified TCM decoction pieces and ensure the quality of TCM decoction pieces.
