Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of hemoperfusion on the cognitive functions of patients on maintenance hemodialysis.Methods A total of 84 patients who maintained hemodialysis in Dialysis Room of Shouguang Hesin Hospital from January 2019 to November 2021 were selected as the research objects.They were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method,with 42 cases in each group.Routine maintenance hemodialysis was performed in both groups,and hemoperfusion was added once a week in the observation group.The cognitive function scores before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results Before treatment,the scores of temporal and spatial orientation,memory,attention and computation,recall,language ability,visuospatial ability and the total score of mini-mental state examination (MMSE) of the observation group were (2.09±0.42),(2.02±0.40),(2.44±0.49),(2.29±0.46),(2.24±0.45),(2.32±0.47)and(18.07±3.62)points,respectively,compared with the control group of(2.16±0.43),(2.14±0.43),(2.36±0.47),(2.25±0.45),(2.17±0.43),(2.21±0.44),(17.94±3.60)points,there were no significant differences (P＞0.05).After treatment,the scores of temporal and spatial orientation,memory,attention and computation,recall,language ability,visuospatial ability and the total score of MMSE of the observation group were(3.40±0.68),(3.35±0.67),(2.00±0.40),(3.46±0.69),(3.47±0.69),(1.91±0.38) and (25.82±5.14) points respectively,which were higher than those of the control group ([2.48±0.49],[2.38±0.47],[2.04±0.41],[2.52±0.50],[2.54±0.51],[2.01±0.40],[20.63±4.11]points),the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion Blood perfusion can improve and maintain the cognitive function of hemodialysis patients to a certain extent.
