Application effect of Aripiprazole and Clozapine in schizophrenia patients

Abstract：Objective To investigate the appliction effect of Clozapine and Aripiprazole in schizophrenia patients.Methods A total of 78 schizophrenic patients admitted to the Third Hospital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from November 2018 to January 2022 were selected as research objects,they were divided into control group and study group according to lottery method.The control group was treated with Clozapine and Risperidone,and the study group was treated with Clozapine and Aripiprazole.The positive and negative syndrome scale(PANSS),the metabolic indexes of glucose and lipid and the incidence of complications were compared and analyzed between the two groups.Results The scores of positive and negative symptoms,general psychopathology and total scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the indexes of glucose and lipid metabolism between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the levels of serum total cholesterol,triglyceride and fasting blood glucose in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,the levels of serum total cholesterol,triglyceride and fasting blood glucose in the study group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).The total incidence of complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion The treatment of schizophrenia with Clozapine combined with Aripiprazole has minimal effect on the glucose and lipid metabolism of patients,which can be maintained in a relatively stable state,with significant clinical effect,fewer complications and high clinical popularization value.
